Grantham House Victorian Villa built in 1863 is located in Ryde, 300 metres from the seafront. The town centre is a 10-minute walk, with a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Free WiFi and free on-street parking is available. The property features accommodation in the form of double bedrooms and a self-contained apartment. The double bedrooms feature super-king size beds. The bathroom features a roll-top bath and has a separate walk-in shower and is shared with one other room at peak times. The self contained apartment, is the most spacious in Ryde and offers 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining/lounge area and a wet-room with a shower. Guests in the double bedrooms can enjoy breakfast in the dedicated dining room at the property. The apartment is self catering, although the fridge will be stocked with some breakfast food for the first day. The property has a large garden with seating and picnic tables. You can play tennis at a location nearby, and the area is popular for golfing. Ryde Ferry Terminal is 600 metres from Grantham House, with ferry services to Portsmouth.

This is a Victorian Villa, built in 1863 over three floors with a large garden and orchard. I aim to offer a bespoke experience and to offer you suggestions to make your stay on this lovely island memorable. Only two rooms are offered for B & B bookings, both with super-king size beds and 11 foot high ceilings. This offers a private 2 room own floor experience if required. There is a large bathroom which is shared if both rooms are booked simultaneously. A large dedicated dining room is available for the guests own use, which has a fridge, toaster, kettle etc. where continental breakfast is available all day. There is also a spacious 2 bed apartment on the lower ground floor, with two good sized bedrooms and additional mattress/sofa bed for young ones. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS SELF CATERING despite saying breakfast is included in the header. This is due to formatting restrictions with the Booking .com website Please ask about discounted ferry travel arrangements.
I've had a number of varied careers, from mountain trekking to golfing, photography, banking, telecoms, oil and mapping. I thankfully gave that up some years ago and now love hosting for guests.
Its a great spot, near the beach and town and a great place to start exploring this hidden gem of an Island. The beach is 400 yards away and you can stroll for miles along the sandy beaches, stopping at a variety of cafes along the way. There are lots of good local restaurants, pubs and cafes and many independent shops. Photos of all are available in the gallery. Parking is free on the street.
