Location was perfect - Short stroll into Fira. Restaurant at the end of the road sells authentic Greek food - simply delicious.
Deluxe double room was fantastic, prefect size, we had pool view - simply beautiful.
Staff always happy to help with a smile.
Everything within close distance - we hired a buggy - lots of choice and very cheap. Public transport is regular. Bus stop very close to the hotel, end of the road - 2 minute walk.
Would i visit Santorini again? Yes, would I stay at Albatros again? Without hesitation.

We recently stayed at Onyx Suites in Santorini and had an amazing experience. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and close to the airport, making it super convenient. The breakfast was excellent, with a nice mix of local and regular foods. The best part was the staff, they were incredibly kind and truly embodied hospitality. They helped us rent a car, gave us tons of great recommendations for restaurants and activities, and were always there when we needed them. This family-run hotel is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Santorini! Tom

DO NOT STAY HERE. Our honeymoon suite room was flooded at 10pm on our second to last night, our suitcases got wet shoes etc but we were very understanding as we knew it wasn’t their fault.
They moved us to their sister hotel June Twenty into another room. We unpacked our belongings and advised them we would be happy to stay here as we only had two nights left. The next morning at 9am we left for a boat trip for the whole day. We had no communication from the hotel so we headed back to June Twenty. We opened the door and a naked lady was in our room and all of our belongings were gone.
The hotel had entered our room, thrown all of our belongings into black sacks which caused damage to my reading glasses, and they lost one of my air pods. I had ashes of my passed mother and expensive jewellery in the room which was all thrown around into bags with no regard at all. I had ironed and hung up my expensive dresses which were shoved into the bags too.
When I expressed how shocked and disappointed we were the manager didn’t seem bothered at all. He said “there is nothing much I can do” and “how do I know you didn’t lose your AirPod and damage your glasses before we moved the belongings” luckily I had a tracker on the AirPod which showed it still in the other hotel.
The coconut residence hotel didn’t communicate we had to leave June Twenty and go back to that hotel. If we had known we had to check out we would have packed our bags and been ready to go.
I ended up having a panic attack and was unable to breathe because I felt so violated and stressed.
We still haven’t heard from the manager and it’s been days. He said he would contact us for a resolution but has ghosted us.
Do not stay here, you will ruin your trip.

The staff are all lovely and very welcoming and the breakfast is great too. There are weekly activities such as dinners and movie nights as well. Would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.

The owner was liar, he/she claimed guest stole their lamp & batteries. Please check their website, over 100 photos, none of them had lamp in the picture . I had NO CLUE, why did them make this kind claim?
They liar & made up things, claimed that guest asked them to drive guest around island, I hired taxi every day & I kept all the receipts to prove how much I paid for the taxi every day.
I have trouble to understand them. For sure, they ARE NOT honest people, NOT honest business.

Katerados is a village near Thira, with adequate facilities, small tourist shop, supermarket, bakeries, cafes, and a few restaurants. A relaxing place after a busy day out.
It is very easy to use the bus service, you can get all around the island, the buses are quite busy, but run regularly right up to 11 p.m.

Karterados was a great place to stay, it's an easy 20 minute walk into Fira with all the attractions, shops, restaurants and nightlife you could wish for, and it is also ideally placed for taking buses to other parts of the island too. Being just on the outskirts of the city it was much calmer and quieter, with far less traffic. It felt more like a typical Greek town or village, the people were very friendly, there were lots of various restaurants, cafes and bakeries, with more reasonable prices than Fira, and all with a superb choice of food. There is also an excellent brewery there, and a supermarket/gift/clothes store which seemed to sell just about everything you could think of and more! If you stay in Karterados you won't be disappointed.
My boyfriend and I stayed at villa agas for 7 days.. our stay was amazing, everyone was very kind and helpful, they helped us with every request we made. They even set out to look for a quad to rent.
The position of the hotel is very strategic, in the centre of the island: it’s only 15 minutes away from Fira (by foot) and it only takes 20 minutes to go to the North and 20 minutes to go to the South of the island by car. The beautiful Santorini’s black sand beaches are just 10 minutes away from the hotel.
We hope to return here soon!
We have to say that this place is extremely cute with the cave design with perfect breakfast. And on top of it, we had an amazing stay thanks a lot to Alex. (Thank you so much Alex!!!) He is sooo friendly and welcoming all the time. He replied super fast to our questions, took time to explain us everything about Santorini and help us to check in early (which is a life saver as we woke up at 3am that day)
It feels more like meeting a friend than going to a hotel. :) I will definitely recommend everyone to stay here and meet Alex.

Good location in the middle of island, 30 minutes walking to Fira town, calm environment !
The breakfast and dinner (half pension) are so tasteful ! Surprisingly excellent ratio of quality/price!
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are so nice that my children enjoyed themselves until the last minute before departure !
Hotel room is so clean and comfortable with drink, snacks and nice Santorini red wine offered !
Staff are always smiling, very kind and helpful for all service request !
Trudi was a really good host, she was welcoming and when we arrived she told us how it works in Santorini and suggested us what to do and what to see. She also organized all our transfer. The location was really good it's near the bus station and 20 min walk to Thira. The swimming pool is also nice not too big but clean and deep. There's a kettle and mini frigerator so it was really helpful for our stay, bakery and supermarket are also near the hotel! We had a perfect stay in the hotel! 🙃
The hostess, Pappi (sp) was so kind and welcoming. She was always available with a warm smile whenever I had a question. Her husband was very kind and helpful as well. Pappi even arranged a taxi pickup for me on short notice. The accommodation was spotless, peaceful, and very comfortable. It was nice to come back after a busy day and relax. A bus stop, supermarket, ATM, and several nice little restaurants and cafes are all located within 1-2 blocks of the hotel, which was very convenient.
Great service and attitude of Hotel owners - Artemis and his wife! They were available for help with any issue. We have received an upgraded sea-view room which was amazing! Cleaning was performed every day. Free transfer from / to the airport. You can get everywhere on the island by bike or car (which is a must have on Santorini for the best experience). The pool was very nice, even though we prefered to explore the beaches. Great price / quality option.
We loved the host/staff and the place. The room was cleaned every day and the breakfast was freshly cooked and prepared each morning. The place is only one bus ride to Fira and was located in a quiet area with a view of the sea. The host Katherina, her family and the staff were exceptional, helpful and friendly. They gave us free water when we ran out and towels to use for the beach. If we ever go back to Santorini, we would definitely stay here again.
The apartment has everything you need for a few days in Santorini. It was super clean and everything was new. Nikos was very helpful before and during our stay. He helped us with the rental of an ATV and the transfer from the airport and to the port. The location in Karterados is in a small local village where you can find here restaurants, bakery and supermarket. It’s very close to Fira.
I recommend everybody to stay here. You won’t regret it!
Good access.
The hotel is located in Karterados. 3 minutes walk to the nearest local bus stop. With using local bus, you can go all main spots of the Santorini like beach (Kamari, Perissa), airport, sea port, Oia (Nice photo spot), Akrotiri, etc.
Also one important thing is just 15 Minutes walk to Fira, main area of Santorini island. Quite convenient that Fira is walking distance.
We liked the room and the hotel's breakfast offering. The hosts were extremely friendly and thoughtful, and did everything to ensure we had a great stay. We were given recommendations for things to see/eat in Santorini and told how to get around the island. Alex went above and beyond - other hotel managers could learn a lot from him about how to interact with guests.
everything about this place was so nice. You get the feeling of being in Santorini without ever leaving. The breakfast was incredible. normally free breakfasts are 1 item or a self serve. this place they served you 4 things on a tray. The bus stop to Fira is not too far away so while you’re not right where the action is you have a cheap close way to get there.
Although 15 min close to Fira (by foot), we rented a squad in order to visit the whole island, the host help us with his tips.
Maximum 20-30 min with squad to different location: Oia, Kamari Beach, Perisa Beach..
Recommendation: amazing sunset sailing experience with catamaran (max 14 pcs) - Caldera Yachting, also another recommendation for Nikolas.
Everything was really good , clean and an amazing view on the city fira from the balcony at night , very quiet area at night , and the bus stop it’s a 5 min walking from the hotel , the poool is large and deep , and babis and his father are very very very helpfull and kind person , we love our stay at babis hotel
Lefteris's house located in Karterados, 10 mins walking from Fira. A really spacious house, extremely clean and beautiful, fully equipped for a family. Looks like exactly like the pics and even better. Lefteris, the owner was very helpful and kind. I totally recommend this house for your stay in Santorini.
The hotel was amazing, great facilities. We especially appreciated Tamta who worked there, she and the other staff members really helped us- booking restaurant, taxis, vehicle... this made our time in Santorini amazing. The room was very nice and clean. The pool amazing. Good location. Thank you Tamta !!!
Room is clean and tidy with all kitchen facilities nice balcony and close to all locations of Santorini.
Family business with helpful and friendly staff. Definitely a good choice for staying in Santorini island.
The room is good for a family that is fully equipped. The a/c work well during summer 🌞. The price is not expensive if compared to the other hotels in Santorini
